At Climate Week NYC, investors will call for financial institutions to urge world governments to enact five critical climate policies 

The Founding Partners of the Investor Agenda publicly open the 2024 Global Investor Statement to Governments on the Climate Crisis  

New York City – At Climate Week in New York City, investors will call on financial institutions to urge world governments to enact the critical policies needed to free up private financial flows for a just transition to a climate-resilient, nature-positive, low-carbon economy. 

The Investor Agenda Founding Partner, Ceres, is hosting a two-day event featuring a high-level mainstage discussion with New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli to showcase the 2024 Global Investor Statement to Governments on the Climate Crisis, the most comprehensive call for a whole-of-government approach to the climate crisis. Investors will call on their peers and other financial institutions to sign on to the statement before Nov. 1. It will be presented to governments ahead of COP29 November 11-22.  

The panel discussion will be held at Ceres at Climate Week on 25 September at the Nest Climate Campus and is open to accredited media.  

The Global Investor Statement, which publicly opened on 17 September, has already garnered 534 financial institutions and their representatives with USD $29 trillion in assets under management. It has been supported by the Founding Partners of the Investor Agenda – AIGCC, CDP, Ceres, IGCC, IIGCC, PRI, and UNEP FI.
